How much does a biometric attendance system cost in the UAE?
A single-device setup with cloud software for a small office typically starts in the low thousands of dirhams including installation. A multi-site deployment with door access control and on-premise software runs considerably higher. We do not publish fixed prices because device count, cabling, door hardware and software tier change the figure substantially — but we give you a fixed written quotation after the free survey, not an estimate that moves later.
Do you charge for the site survey?
No. The survey is free and carries no obligation. An engineer attends, assesses your entrances, tests biometric enrolment on a sample of your actual staff, and confirms what is realistic. You receive a fixed written quotation afterwards.
How long does installation take?
A straightforward attendance installation — a few devices, one location, cloud software — is typically completed within a day, and often within 48 hours of you approving the quotation. Door access control with cabling through occupied premises takes longer and is usually scheduled over a weekend. Turnstiles involve civil works and run to weeks, driven by supply lead time.
Do you provide training and support after installation?
Yes. Handover includes training your HR or admin team on enrolment, reporting and payroll export, plus documentation. Software and configuration support is remote and same-day. Hardware support is on-site, with response times set by your support contract and stated honestly per emirate — we do not promise four hours in Fujairah.
Is storing employee biometric data legal in the UAE?
Yes, with proper handling. UAE data protection law treats biometric data as sensitive personal data requiring a lawful basis, employee notice and appropriate security measures. Modern terminals store an irreversible mathematical template rather than a fingerprint image or photograph, which materially reduces exposure. We provide a template employee notice at handover and can deploy on-premise where data must remain on your own server. For a binding view on your obligations, take advice from a UAE data protection or employment adviser.
Can we buy hardware only, without installation?
Yes. Supply-only is available and we include remote configuration guidance. Most clients still choose installation because device placement — height, lighting, distance from the door — affects daily reliability more than the model choice does.
Do you work with our existing attendance devices?
Often, yes. Many common terminals can be brought onto new software, which avoids replacing working hardware. Tell us the make and model at enquiry stage and we will confirm before you commit — if the answer is no, we will say so rather than sell you a migration that will not work.
Which emirates do you cover?
All seven. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are covered same-day to 48 hours. Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain are covered with realistic lead times of two to three working days, usually combining survey and installation into one trip to keep your cost down.
